Unwind Blog #1 Tania Martinez

For my topic I have chosen "Teen Runaways". Like in the story teen runaways are very alike. fro example the characters in the story are running a way to escape from being unwound. Teens who run away have many similar reason like in the book. Most teens who runaway most likely do it because they want to escape a critical home. Teens would think that running away is the only solution. Others have reasons like drug and alcohol abuse, or they runaway from problems that involve emotions they don't want to deal with. Most likely these teens would find their last resort to running away. Most of these teens won't realize that running away is a struggle as well. They would need to find resources to survive, depending if they planed ahead of where they would go, what they would do for food supply, and what they would do after they've gotten that far. Teens would most likely runaway when no one is around or awake like at night or during the day when their parents think they are at school. They will find any clear escapes to runaway. Just like in the story, these runaways have found out that escaping their problems is their only choice their only escape from their problems and unwanted emotions. They want to free themselves from their struggled lives.

  1. You and I both did the same same term. "Teen Runaway." I like how you put the things they must do in order to stay alive when teens do plan on running away from home. And I also like how you said that running away is a big struggle. I don't think most people would of thought of it in that kind of way. I also liked how you put the different types of reason why one would runaway from home.

  2. I did not chose the same term as you but i could not have explained it better myself. Running aways is most teens solution to problems at home. If they dont run away they do drugs or alcohol you were so right about that and also how you say its a struggle. Most teens dont think about that before they run away they think once they leave all their problems will vanish. Now them problems may go aways but there will be plenty more in the future great job at explaining this!

  3. I didn't chose "teen runaways" but I completely agree with what you've explained. The teens in the story "Unwind" are running away because of trying to escape from being unwound. It is true that most teenagers run away because of drug abuse or alcohol abuse. Running away is (as how you said) a struggle.

  4. I completely agree with you. In Unwind most kids run away because they know that they're going to be sent to death. I usually blame parents when kids run away because parents are always suppose to be their for their kids and help them out with any little thing thats bothering them. So if your kids turned out rebels its obviously the parents fault in my opinion because they didn't care enough to listen to their child in their time of need. So if a kid is running away from being unwound then its the parents fault because they caused all of this.
