Unwind Blog #1

I believe adoption and the term "storking" from the book Unwind Are Very Much Alike. Adoption is a process in which a person assumes the responsibility of parenting for another. It permanently transfers all rights, along with the affiliation, from the biological parent or parents. Adoption is intended to be a permanent change that requires societal recognition, through legal or religious sanction. In the book Unwind the term "storking is when a mother leaves her baby on a doorstep of a stranger. If the mother doesn't get caught the baby is legally the persons' whose home the baby is left at. But if they get caught the cannot stork anymore. In the end of both processes the baby is legally yours. Once The baby Is in your possession you cannot do anything about it. But people still break the law. like in the book when Connor told Risa about the baby that went around his neighborhood twice and nobody wanted it, so it got sick and died. When it comes to adoption, and you've adopted a child it is yours, so if you decide you don't want it anymore you can give it up for adoption again. So that is my connection between adoption and the book unwind.
