Unwind Blog #1

I believe that adoption and "storking" the term used in Unwind are very much similar. Adoption is in which one person is permanently transferring  all rights and responsibilities along with filiation from the biological parent (s).  Adoption is a permanent change that requires social recognition. In order for this to happen legally they have to go threw a lot. When parents put their kid (s) up for adoption it just means they simply can not take care of their child or they just do not want the child. The term "Storking" which is used in the book unwind is when a mother decides to leave the baby on the doorsteps of a stranger. In the story it is legal to stork people. Once you have been storked you have to keep the baby! It is legally your's once you have been storked. Being said once that happens you can not do anything about it. In the book Connor tells Risa about a time his family was once storked.  Connor tells Risa that his family did not want the baby so his father took the baby across the street that same night. The baby was passed around for two whole weeks! The baby than died. Once you have adopted a baby its yours, and you can not do much about it besides putting it back up for adoption if you did not want the baby anymore. This is what i believe about storking and adoption.
